With more than 20 years of combined experience, our managing partners bring a practical understanding of how projects are built — from the field to the office. Our careers started in the trades and grew into construction management and preconstruction, giving us a unique perspective on both the estimating process and the realities of execution.
We created TN Cost Group after seeing contractors face the same challenges repeatedly — more opportunities to pursue, but not always enough estimating and preconstruction capacity, missed bids, and the high cost of adding full-time staff.
Today, we provide estimating, preconstruction, bid management and business development support as an extension of our clients’ teams, helping them pursue more work and operate more efficiently.

CO-FOUNDER & MANAGING PARTNER
Tyler brings a strong background in construction management, estimating, and field operations. He holds a degree in Construction Management as well as a CBC license, giving him experience across both the technical and management sides of the construction industry.
His estimating experience includes tilt-up concrete, pre-engineered metal buildings (PEMB), CMU, and general construction. Tyler’s field experience and practical understanding of how projects are built shape his approach to estimating, with a focus on constructability, accurate quantities, realistic pricing, and complete scope coverage.
Outside of work, Tyler stays involved in disaster-relief efforts, his church in Stuart, and spending time with his son, Leo.
CO-FOUNDER & MANAGING PARTNER
Nick brings a field-driven construction background with experience in MEP systems, estimating, and preconstruction. He began his career as an electrician working on luxury residential and large-scale commercial projects before advancing into field supervision, construction management, and preconstruction.
His experience spans estimating, procurement, cost management, scheduling, and project coordination, with a strong understanding of how electrical systems coordinate with mechanical, plumbing, structural, and architectural scopes. Nick holds the PMI Construction Professional (PMI-CP) credential and has an educational background in Construction Management.
Outside of work, Nick enjoys scuba diving, spending time on the water, and grilling.
